Marcela Roggeri has all the qualities of the great Argentine piano tradition, as well as the zest we associate with South American artists. Born in Buenos Aires, she studied with Ana Gelber and Bruno Leonardo Gelber, who became her mentor and with whom she played in duo in Argentina, USA and Europe.
In 2000 Marcela gave a critically acclaimed concert with the Brazilian pianist Marcelo Bratke at the Wigmore Hall in London. She performed in a piano and percussion duo with Meninos do Morumbi, a group of musicians drawn from the favelas of Brazil. They perfored at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and concert halls in Brazil and Argentina.
These projects are examples of Marcela Roggeri's personal commitment to charity work in Brazil and Argentina, where she often gives concerts and masterclasses in aid of charity organisations fighting against poverty.
In January 2006, she received the French 'Révélation Internationale de l'Année' award at the Victoires de la Musique Classique.
Marcela is regularly invited to perform at festivals in France including Fl?neries musicales de Reims where she recorded her CDs: "Pi?ces pour piano d'Erik Satie", Domenico Scarlatti's Sonatas and most recently, Sofia Gubaidulina "Complete Piano Works", all with the label Transart Live.
Marcela lives in London. She plays regularly in recitals, with orchestras or in chamber ensembles. Her extensive repertoire spans from Scarlatti to Gubaidulina, from Soler to Copland and naturally includes the composers from her Latin American roots: Villa-Lobos, Guastavino, Ginastera and Piazzolla.
Florent Héau studied clarinet at the Paris Conservatoire where he studied under Michel Arrignon. Now a dedicated teacher and performer he continues to champion new works for his instrument's repertoir and commissions to date include; Chant des Tén?bres (concerto for clarinet and orchestra) by Thierry Escaich, Aizgor by Félix Ibarrondo, Sonatina lapidaria by Nicolas Bacri, Burning by Edith Canat de Chizy and Encore by Karol Beffa.
Florent regularly performs at festivals including Prades, Deauville Folles Journées de Nantes, Bel-Air in Chambery, Orangerie de Sceaux) often collaborating with renowned musicians including Marielle Nordmann, Marcela Roggeri, Gerard Causse, Roland Pidoux, Henri Demarquette, Jér?me Ducros, Régis Pasquier, Patrice Fontanarosa, the Capu?on brothers and the Prazak, Manfred and Parisii quartets.
Florent has also appeared as a soloist with the European Camerata, the Orchestre de Bretagne, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Chamber Orchestra of the Polish Radio and the Prague Chamber Orchestra.
